Award-winning Chinese director known for tackling tough social issues and a CVF audience favourite, presenting his latest work The Tibetan Girl with performer Gongqiu Zhuoma.

Jin Huaqing has directed films including Living with Shame, Blossom with Tears and Lament of Yumen. He has received more than 40 awards at international film festivals in 18 countries for Endless Road, most notably the UNICEF Prize, 2012. His documentaries have been broadcast by major media outlets including Al Jazeera Television, the BBC, EBS and Fuji TV. Jin Huaqing served on the jury of the 21st Asian International Film Festival in Vesoul and the Student Competition in the 8th Russian Anthropological Film Festival. He is a Creative Tutor at Lanzhou University and a visiting Instructor at Zhejiang University of Media And Communications.  Focusing on a variety of issues in modern China, Jin’s films are marked by their humanistic approach and social conscience, and allow global audiences to see a side of China beyond the usual news headlines.
