Chinese Visual Festival is a leading cultural event showcasing Chinese-language creativity through films, contemporary art, music and more.
With an annual event and screening sessions in London, a UK touring program and international partnerships, Chinese Visual Festival presents Chinese realities to overseas audiences through imaginative conversations between moving images and art, screening works from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and beyond.
CVF 2020 will be hosted by our partners BFI Southbank, Regent Street Cinema and King’s College London, with film screenings, panel discussions, film maker sessions and other events in June 2020.
In order to conduct a successful festival and provide an outstanding visitor experience, CVF 2020 is calling for volunteers who are interested in Chinese language independent film, art and culture, and who wish to gain experience in cultural event management skills, film programming and art exhibition curating, fundraising, event organisation, and cultural event PR and Marketing. Volunteers will work in a variety of different areas as required, both in helping to plan and prepare for the festival and during the festival itself. Chinese language abilities are preferred.
We are a small team of very committed, hardworking and driven individuals, who truly believe in the aims and aspirations of Chinese Visual Festival. Although no previous exposure to festival work is necessary, enthusiasm is a must, and volunteers with passion and dedication will find themselves rewarded with a unique and valuable experience, playing a truly integral role in a vital cultural event.
